The Porter's Chair

Before we even settled on a house, I had already set my heart on a pair of sitting chairs for the living room.  In fact, these Restoration Hardware porter's chairs persuaded me to favor victorians and colonials as we were house hunting, just so that they would work.  I don't think they'd work in farm houses very well.  The second I laid eyes on them, I thought of Disneyland's Haunted House, and I wanted them.  Of course, my husband thinks they're ridiculous, and actually, so do my friends.  But they'll come around when they see how cute these chairs look by my fireplace!

I haven't gotten them yet.  I'm waiting for a sale...
